Networking has become an integral part of the vast majority of computer installations. A network is considered an
essential part of the company operating environment, regardless of the company's size or organizational complexity. With a well designed network, top-down management structures can be modified to allow information to
move on to a flatter, more responsive structure. The information is available where it is needed. Consulting - Every network installation is somewhat unique - if this were not the case, one could simply buy a
network off the shelf and we would be out of business. To create a network that effectively manages your business requires careful planning, design and implementation.
It is essential that we have a thorough
understanding of your business to develop an optimal network solution. We must not only consider your current needs, but future growth, changing requirements and budgetary constraints. These factors and other take place
during the consultation process. This consists of one or more face - to - face meetings at your location.
The Proposal - After we have had the opportunity to analyze your operation and requirements, various
scenarios are examined. In all but the simplest cases, the scenarios are reviewed and critiqued at a staff meeting by other network engineers. A draft proposal is prepared for review and discussion. For network
installations and more involved tasks, and upon our mutual agreement, an Engagement Letter is prepared.
Cabling - Most new network installations require cabling, hubs, patch panels and additional items
concerned with the physical connection of the network. We can provide such services or we are pleased to cooperate with a cabling company of your choice. For most installations, we subcontract the cabling work.
We will discuss the wire topology and wiring categories. For example: 10BaseT, and Coax; category 5 high-speed copper and very high-speed fiber optic cable.
Network Installation -
A certified network engineer supervises and participates in the installation of your network.
Upgrades - Nothing stands still for long in the computer industry. In early 1995, 4 to possibly 8 Mb of RAM was
considered sufficient for most Window-based desktop applications. With the advent of Windows 95 and NT workstation, and additional sophisticated software, a Pentium 166 or Pentium 200 with 16 to 32 megabytes of RAM is
considered an entry-level system. The same considerations apply to disk drives, CDROM and on it goes. We stands ready to assure that your systems remain capable of optimal performance.
Post-Sales Support -
We want to keep you as a client. We approach this in a variety of way. First, we offer as part of the network engagement, a customer assurance program. During the first thirty days after the network is installed and accepted as operational, we will unconditionally and at no charge, supply required network services to insure the network is functioning properly.
